Normand Laprise, is the culinary genius who has presided over the kitchen at Montreal's renowned Toqué! for the past 13 years. Hailed as one of North America's finest restaurants, Toqué! was recently accredited as one of the Relais gourmands (culinary destinations) of the prestigious Relais et Châteaux international network of luxury hotels and gourmet restaurants - an honour that confirms Mr. Laprie`s status as one of the world's best chefs. He has trained many of Quebec's emerging chefs, generously imparting his creativity, technique, intelligence and intuition. Besides working miracles on the Montreal restaurant scene, Normand Laprise is a fervent promoter of Quebec's regional food products and the artisans who supply them. He will reveal some of his culinary secrets to Quebec Scene foodies in a lecture presented in association with Ottawa's Le Cordon Bleu cooking school. A delectable rendez-vous complemented by canapés inspired by the menu at Toqué!.
