Manitoba composer/pianist Michelle Grégoire’s quintet is an extraordinary ensemble of some of the country’s best jazz musicians coming together in an environment of openness,musicality, challenge and adventure. Kirk MacDonald (saxophones), Dave Lawton (trumpet), Jim Vivian (acoustic bass), Ted Warren (drums) and Grégoire share a terrific performing chemistry.
With several prestigious award nominations, hugely successful appearances at the Festival international de jazz de Montréal and the Ottawa International Jazz Festival, and a highlight gig opening for Branford Marsalis, this quintet has become the in-demand jazz act on the circuit.
