Carolyn Mark / Cousin Harley

Blacksheep

Alternative country meets rockabilly when Carolyn Mark and Cousin Harley hit the stage. Hailing from Sicamous, B.C., singer-songwriter Mark first embarked on her road to stardom with the pop-surf-punk-alt-country-rock band The Vinaigrettes, and since then she has played with numerous bands across Canada and as a solo artist. Hilariously self-deprecating and incredibly talented, Carolyn is famous for her onstage antics and powerful voice.

Sharing the stage with her is Western Canada’s premier rockabilly and roots band, Cousin Harley. Led by guitar/vocalist Paul Pigat (aka Cousin Harley), the band is known for its inexhaustible energy and modern hotrod twist style, described by Monday Magazine’s Ron Forbes Roberts as “hot enough to raise sweat on a chunk of granite!” Don’t expect to be sitting for long as these high octane artists take the stage.

This concert will be broadcast on Canada Live on CBC Radio 2 (103.3 FM in Ottawa) cbc.ca/ottawa
