the Helsinki Roccamatios, which became the title of his first collection of short stories. Two friends. Two destinies. Life and death with the twentieth century as a backdrop. This inventive and touching tale earned the author Canada’s Journey Prize and demonstrated the creativity and intelligence that would lead to the success of his first novel, The Life of Pi.
