Our fascination with islands is not just a yearning for a romantic past, but a contemporary notion that projects the island as a possible benchmark for interpreting the world today. Through a body of multidisciplinary work, the artist – a self-admitted “islomaniac” – proposes an incursion into the idea of island from geographic, economic and cultural perspectives.
