After the death of their mother, Nawal, Jeanne and Simon embark on a quest that will take them from Quebec to Lebanon in search of their tangled roots. Wajdi Mouawad, a key figure on the Quebec theatre scene, delivers a searing and poetic story of war and separation. The original French version, Incendies, won the 2004 “Critics’ Choice” award from the Association québécoise des critiques de théâtre.
